Dear Fourth Grade Parents,

Congratulations to all of your students for their hard work and enthusiasm in our first month of school.  I am especially pleased with the growth they have shown in the areas of organizational and study skills.  Students are using their binders and assignment books more consistently and efficiently which is a very big step.

In Science this week, our measurement unit will begin work with metric weights.  Our students are making good use of their science lab time and working well in their lab teams of three or four students.  We share the lab space with a family of new-born mice, giant cock-roaches, a fish tank, and three juvenile Chinese dragons.

We will be completing an open book review of Unit One in Religion.  Please note that we will not be attending morning Mass this Thursday as scheduled.  Father Jim will be away at a diocesan meeting.

I hope you have a chance to enjoy the artwork of your students on display in the lower level hallway.  We really enjoyed our painting lesson with Mrs. Zupke and Mrs. Murnane on Friday.  It was such a nice way to end our week and we thank them both.
