Dear Fourth Grade Families,

We are quickly approaching the mid-term point of our first

trimester.  Mid-term reports will be coming home on November 2nd, a week from this Friday.  These reports include the grade averages for tests, quizzes, and homework scores for the first eight weeks of school.  Letter grades will be included for Math, Reading, home reading, Language Arts, Spelling, Science, P.E., and Social Studies.  Grades for Handwriting, Music, Art, and Computer will be included on the First Trimester reports.  Mid-term report cards have twelve recommendation codes listed at the page bottom.  There is a recommendation box next to each academic subject.  If the box is empty, there are no specific recommendations at this time.  If the box contains a number, match the number to the recommendation below.

This week, we will be reviewing the vocabulary, grammar and comprehension skills covered in Unit one of our Reading/Language Arts program.  Tests and quizzes this week include:

Spelling Unit review test - Friday

          Subject/predicate quiz - Tuesday

Math quiz – adding and subtracting thousands – Thursday

I would like to thank our art docents, Mrs. Zupke, Mrs. Shrum, and Mrs. Murnane for another wonderful art lesson last Friday.  You are greatly appreciated.

Have a wonderful week.
