New Year! I hope you had a restful and
enjoyable break. The students came back
to school a little sleepy this morning, but we hit the ground running! Heres our plan for the week.

Curriculum Notes
Religion: This week we are discussing the sacraments of
Baptism and Confirmation. Students will
create definition posters of each, focusing on symbols of each as well as a
written definition. There will be a test
on chapter six sometime next week.
Prayer
journals will be handed back tomorrow, and become part of the nightly homework
again this week.
Science: This week we will begin discussing the major biomes
of
Math: We will begin
chapter seven this week Decimals.
Students will gain an understanding of decimal place value before moving
on to addition and subtraction of decimals.
Literature: This week we
are reading an article titled What are Food Chains and Food Webs. Students should be able to draw on their
knowledge from science class and their experience at
Social Studies: We are
starting our study of the Revolutionary War.
This week we will focus on the reasons colonists became unhappy with
British rule. We will cover lessons one
and two from chapter seven.
