Welcome!

Welcome the start of another school year! I look forward to getting to know and working with each of you. Students have been given a lot of information about the year ahead. They should have copies of the following: Student Schedule, Standards for Written Work, and Classroom Management Plan. We have discussed these at school, so please ask your student to tell you about them. Also, please fill out the attached Parent Questionnaire and return it by September 7^th.

Beginning next week, the newsletter will be emailed to you and posted to the school website. Please make sure the office has your current email address.

The quickest, easiest way to get a hold of me is via email. At a minimum I will check my email before and after school every day. You can also call the office or send a note in with your child. Though I love seeing parents before and after school, if you just pop in, there is no guarantee that I will have time to talk. In order to be able to fully address your concerns, I ask that you schedule a conference if you want to speak to me on any issue of importance. Thanks!

E.E. Week

I know E.E. Week at Camp Seymour is already on the forefront of many of your minds. I am really looking forward to this trip as a way to get to know the students and to build a strong sense of community among them. There will be several communications about E.E. Week coming home over the next few weeks. Our trip is scheduled for October 23 – October 26. Please send back the attached volunteer request form by September 7. Organizing this week takes a lot of planning and partnering with Mr. Fairbank. I ask that you bring any concerns to my attention promptly so they may be addressed well in advance of our departure. I’m counting on you to help make this a wonderful, positive experience for all our students!
