Curriculum Notes

Religion: This week we are continuing our Advent discussion about where we find Jesus in our daily lives.  Check out the notes on the shepherd on our classroom door!  We will bring the shepherd to the Narthex during an Advent service on Thursday morning.

We will also be having a discussion to follow up on Mr. Kings presentation on Cameroon.  Students will be given the chance to accept his invitation to write questions to be answered by students in Cameroon.

Science: This week we will be covering chapter 2.3 in our text. This chapter focuses upon the use of electricity in modern technology. We will direct our study to computers and the coding of information through digital and analog systems.

Math:  We will finish up our study of division this week (chapter 4).  On Wednesday we will review the chapter in preparation for Thursday’s test.

Literature:  This week we are reading an article about the history of wind power titled “The Wind at Work.”  The open book assessment will be on Thursday.

English:  We will finish up our book reviews on A Week in the Woods.  Rough drafts will be edited for the writing trait of word choice before we take them to the computer lab to type final copies.

Have a blessed week.  Don’t forget to take time to look for Jesus.  After all, He is the reason for the season!
