Subject Update

Literature/Language Arts: This week we will be focusing on using our interview notes to compose and type our senior biography, which is due on Friday.  We will also complete our last spelling unit this week.

Math: The sixth graders will be finishing up their geometry unit this week

Ø     Calculating volume of prisms

Ø     Chapter 10 review

Ø     Chapter 10 test on Thursday.

The last math progress report will be handed out on Wednesday.  This needs to be signed and returned by Friday.

Religion: Monday and Tuesday will be spent preparing for our vocabulary test on Wednesday.  We have daily Mass on Thursday, but since it is our free dress day, the students won’t need to have a sweatshirt.

Science: This week we will be concluding our study of wetlands with our Wetland Project which is due this Thursday.

Social Studies: This week we are going to focus our attention on reviewing chapter nine in preparation for test on Thursday.  Students will be given class time on three separate days to study for this test.  The vocabulary quiz will be on Tuesday.

Hang in there everyone!  We’re almost there!  Have a great week!

Sincerely,

Pam Schwartz J
