Dear Parents,

The seventh graders are looking forward to their Valentine’s Party this Thursday from 1:45-2:45. If they choose to bring valentines or treats, they need to bring enough for everyone in the class. Parents are welcome.

Academic Information

Language Arts:  Due to the upcoming short school weeks, the 7rh grade will not have Spelling for the next 2 weeks.  This week we will be focusing on irregular verbs in our English text.  If time allows, we will be using one of the 3 persuasive introductions the students wrote last week to begin the rest of the body in the persuasive essay.  No due date has been set yet.

Literature:  This week we are watching the movie from Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry and comparing it to the book.  The following students are up for their current events presentations this week: Kelsey, Sy, and Derek.  

Math: This week the seventh graders will be working on greatest common factor, least common multiple, and common denominators.

A progress report will be sent home Wednesday. This needs to be signed and returned by Wednesday, February 20.
