Language Arts: Last week I decided to take a detour from my original plans, as I noticed that some students need additional work with identifying direct and indirect objects. Therefore, we took some time learning how to diagram sentences, which seemed to help them. So this week we will jump back to the text to learn about transitive and intransitive verbs, along with predicate nouns and adjectives. We are on a normal schedule for spelling and root of the week.
Literature: Last week we started a new unit on Poetry. After reviewing the key concepts and terms, we will be reading and interpreting several poems in our text.
***On another note: The students will be receiving
permission slips on Tuesday for a field trip we will be taking in April.
This trip will take us to the Intiman Theater in the
Math: This week the seventh graders will be working on multiplying and dividing fractions. They have WASL pages 119-125 due this Wednesday, March 12. We are also beginning work on a stock market project.
Math progress reports will be sent home on Wednesday, March 12. The grades reflect everything completed as of Friday, March 7. These reports need to be signed and t\returned by, Friday, March 14.
Have a great week!
