Dear Parents,
All 7th graders have finished their ITBS. Those students that were absent last week completed theirs today.
Having been at Saint Brendan’s for three months now, I am thankful for all the wonderful, kind and hard working students, as well as, all the supportive parents.
Have a blessed Thanksgiving.
Language Arts
We are continuing Unit 2 in our English text this week. The topics we will be covering are singular vs. plural nouns and possessive nouns.
Literature
The 7th graders are reading the play ‘A Christmas Carol,’ in order to prepare for our trip to the Act Theatre on December 4th. Thank you to those of you who have volunteered to drive. I will be sending out an email regarding this today or tomorrow.

Social Studies

Students have a Chapter 10 – Lessons 1, 2, 3 quiz tomorrow, Tuesday, November 20, 2007. They received the study guide Wednesday November 14, 2007 and today they played Jeopardy to review facts. The quiz contains multiple choice and short answer questions – no essays.
We will take on Lesson 4, the last lesson in Chapter 10 when we return from Thanksgiving. I will also introduce the Chapter 10 project when we return.

Math
The 7th graders will be working on dividing with compatible numbers.
