5^th grade

This week we will be looking at the Biomes Chaparral, Tundra, and Desert. This will be followed with a study of the placement of all the biomes of the world and their impact and influences on the functioning of each of the others.

6^th grade

This week we will be concluding our study of Darwin and his voyage on the HMS Beagle through the film “The Galapagos” focusing upon the unique creatures and landscapes found there. The Darwin Journey Project summarizing this voyage is due on Friday.

7^th grade

This week we will be continuing our study of plate tectonics and begin looking more closely at convergent plate boundaries. We will also look at some of the results of this convergence focusing on volcanoes, specifically Mt. St. Helens.

8^th grade

This week we continue our genetics study. We will be exploring the concepts of dominant and recessive genetic characteristics and introducing the idea of incomplete dominance.
