5^th grade

This week we continue our unit on recycling through a study of plastics. We will be observing and discussing the classifications of various plastics as well as the benefits and drawbacks of each type.

6^th grade

This week we will be finishing our Constellation Research Project. It is due on Tuesday the 29^th. We will them be looking at the benefits to society that space exploration provides. We will also discuss how space exploration assists in the development of new technologies and why it helps in our understanding of our own planet.

7^th grade

This week we will be observing specific characteristics of various minerals including: halite, copper, quartz, feldspar, and mica. We will then explore the concept of minerals as resources, observing how they are created, gathered, and finally used.

8^th grade

This week we are continuing with our Mars Alpha unit as we continue to design our structures, overcoming the problems living on mars presents.
