• We will be studying various ecosystems found in nature through a detailed view of their communities. This will lead to studies building up to our experience at EE week in October

6th grade:

• We will be reviewing the classification system of Arthropods. After our review we will focus upon the life cycle of a specific arthropod, Brine Shrimp. We will conduct several tests involving environmental differences influencing rate of growth in an organism.

7th grade:

• We are beginning a detailed study of the solar system. The students are working in teams and conducting research into assigned planets in preparation for an oral report on their planet.

• We are beginning our cellular biology study through a controlled experiment on plant cell growth and development. We will also begin to look at the process of decomposition and its impact upon cellular development.
