5th grade:
  • This week we are continuing our study of plankton focusing on the three primary types: phytoplankton, zooplankton, and meroplankton. We will also continue to discuss aspects of EE week in preparation for our EE experience.

6th grade:

  • This week we will continue to monitor and record the growth and development of our specimens in the Brine Shrimp Lab. We will also begin looking at the difference between fully aquatic and semi aquatic organisms including the advantages and disadvantages of each.

7th grade:

  • This week we are focusing our attention on the sun. We will be studying the views of the sun by early civilizations through stories and legends. We will pursue this by writing our own, fictional story in explanation of the sun.

8th grade:
  • This week we are continuing with our study of cell organelles. We will also be duplicating the experiment supporting biogenesis as a viable theory that was conducted by Lazzaro Spallanzani in the late 1700’s.
