5^th grade

There is a correction to the textbook we received last week. We now have “Electricity and Magnetism” instead of “Matter and Energy” (Matter and Energy is our 7^th grade text). We will continue to explore the general concepts of properties of an atom and how that relates to electrical and magnetic processes.

6^th grade

This week we will be studying the history of the earth. This will include its formation within the solar system and the evidence supporting the formation and development of species.

7^th grade

This week we begin our study of the properties of water. To do this we will begin with an in-depth study of Archimedes and his theories and inventions. The Press Release Kit examining a return trip to the moon is due Wednesday.

8^th grade

This week we will begin a study into the behaviors of ideal gases, and how that relates to the kinetic theory of gases. We will also be constructing a timeline from the 1500’s to present of major discoveries relating to cellular biology and genetics.
