The Called & Gifted Workshop can be a MAJOR STEP
in discovering God’s call for YOUR LIFE.

God is calling you to a unique purpose in life, a work of love that only you can do. Discern your spiritual gifts! Discern your call! What is your vocation? Come and begin to discover this work! You have received gifts, through Baptism and Confirmation, for the ways God intends his love to reach others through you. Come and discover these gifts! The Called & Gifted Workshop is a two-day live presentation which will include Church teaching on the laity and lay apostleship; the nature of spiritual gifts, call, and vocation; and how to undertake the process of discernment.

The workshop can be especially useful for:

• Cradle Catholics and active parishioners
• Young adults discerning career/vocational direction
• Parents who want to help their children live their faith and recognize their gift
• People in transition: changing jobs, empty nesters, returning to the workplace, facing retirement
• New or returning Catholics who want to explore what it means to live their faith as an adult
• Catholics discerning a call to religious life or ordination
• Parish staff and leaders who want to nurture and empower parishioners

IN THE CALLED & GIFTED WORKSHOP, YOU WILL LEARN:

• Church teaching on the laity and lay apostleship
• The 5 steps of discerning the gifts God has given you for your work in the world
• The signs and characteristics of 24 of the most common spiritual gifts
• How discerning your call and your vocation can change your own life
• How discerning your call can change the world and help spread the Gospel
• How discerning and using our gifts together can help transform and renew our parishes

YOU WILL RECEIVE:

• A copy of the Catholic Spiritual Gifts Inventory. This 60-page inventory covers the purposes and characteristics of spiritual gifts, and describes in detail 24 such gifts and the discernment process
• A list of further resources for each of the 24 gifts, including:
  • Biographies of patron saints: great Catholic men and women who demonstrated a particular gift during their lifetimes.
  • Scripture and Catechism references for each gift.
  • Recommended reading for further exploration of particular gifts
  • An optional (but highly recommended) one-on-one interview with a trained discernment interviewer to help you identify the gifts God has given you.
