Funerals

·        A funeral Mass will be celebrated for Captain Thomas Volkle USCG retired, on January 22nd at 11am, with reception following.  Committal will be at Holyrood Cemetery after the reception.  All military, both current and retired, are encouraged to either wear their uniform or something with an insignia representing their branch of service.

·        A Vigil service with rosary will be held on Friday, January 28th at 7pm for Lillian Kemph.  Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on January 29th at 11am, with reception following.

Called and Gifted

·        The Called and Gifted workshop will be held on Friday night, January 21 from 7pm to 10pm, and on Saturday, January 22 from 9am to 4pm. Peace and Justice Saturday night at the Movies

·        Join us in the Narthex on January 22 for a showing of “The Human Experience” immediately after the 5pm vigil Mass.  Refreshments will be provided.

Jr. High Youth Group will meet tonight at 6:30pm.

Pathways will not meet tonight.

• A funeral Mass will be celebrated for Mary Ryan at 11am on Friday, with a reception following.

First Friday Adoration

• Begins this Friday, January 7th, after the morning Mass.  Adoration will close on Saturday, January 8th, with Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament and Mass at 8:30am

• Please note that the Eucharist will be reposed in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel during the Funeral Mass on Friday.

Youth Group Happenings!

• Youth Mass on Sunday, January 9th at 6pm.  Come and be Counted for Christ!

• St. Brendan Youth Group would like to invite everyone to our All Parish Service Night on Friday, January 14th at 7pm in the school gym. We will be making sandwiches for the homeless through an organization called Heroes for the Homeless. We ask that volunteers bring a loaf of bread, jelly and peanut butter.

Newcomer’s Social

• All newcomers to the parish are invited to join us in Lower Brendan House for a social after the 10am Mass on Sunday, January 9th.

• Information about the parish and a special gift will be given to you to say “Welcome” to St. Brendan.

• Taize Prayer led by Bethany Wilson will follow the Mass (at 7:30)pm.  All are invited to join our youth in this prayer time. 

• No JH youth group on Wednesday so families can attend the Imaaculate Conception Mass at 7pm.

• A funeral liturgy will be celebrated for Lee Ann Gordon on Wednesday, December 1st, at 11am in the Nave.  There will be a reception immediately following, with a time for sharing of memories.

• A funeral Mass for Lou Lange will be celebrated on Friday, December 3rd, at 11am in the Nave.  There will be a reception following the Mass, and the commital service at the cemetary will occur after the reception.

Three Part Series on the Mass with Fr. Roger O’Brien

• Join us at 7pm on Tuesdays, in the Narthex, starting November 30th to enrich your understanding of our Mass.  There is no need to register, and there is no cost! 

• Thanksgiving Mass will be celebrated at 9 am on Thursday, November 25th.  Please remember to bring a food item and/or a donation for St. Vincent de Paul.

• The Parish office will be closed at noon on Wednesday, and remain closed until Monday, November 29th as the staff celebrates the Thanksgiving Holiday.

• There is no daily Mass on Friday or Saturday morning.

• The Holy Hour for Families and Youth will be held as usual on November 28th, from 6pm to 8pm, with singing of the Divine Mercy Chaplet at 7:30pm.

Three Part Series on the Mass with Fr. Roger O’Brien

Carpet Installation Update

• We are continuing the carpet installation, and should be finished by Friday.  There is daily Mass in the Chapel at the usual time of 8:30am.
