Dear Families,
I am not sure if
this week’s newsletter is late or early!
Here are some updates I hope you see before Monday morning.
1)
With
the exception of those students who will turn in Family Life assignments, ALL 8th
grade academic work is complete.
(Students who were absent last week will have a chance to turn in their
work.) Report cards are handed out at
the graduation ceremony along with the diploma.
2)
Monday,
June 9 is Service Morning. Eighth
graders will spend from 8:35 – 12:15 serving the school and church communities. Students should come prepared with a book to
read in case their work is completed before 12:15.
3)
Students
will have graduation practice at 1:00 Monday afternoon. Speakers (Natalie, Gabe, Patrick) need to
bring final copies of speeches if they have not already done so.
4)
Desks
will be cleaned Monday afternoon from 2:00 – 3:00. Students need to bring a bag to school for
supplies they wish to bring home.
5)
Portfolios
are complete and will be on display in the hallway and at the Dinner Dance. Portfolios, schoolwork that has been on
display and other keepsake items will go home the evening of the Dinner Dance.
6)
Tuesday
June 10, 2008 is the last day of school for 8th graders. The Dinner Dance (located in the gym) begins at
7:00 PM in the evening.
7)
Wednesday
June 11 – GRADUATION DAY!! Students DO
NOT come to school on Wednesday.
Students need to arrive at the church, dressed and IN THE GREEN GOWN no
later than 6:30. They will gather in the
church library until it is time for the processional. The Graduation Mass and Ceremony begins at
7:00PM.
8)
After
the Mass, ceremony and reception, students need to leave the graduation gowns
in the church library.
THANK YOU!! Please let me know if there are questions I
have not answered. I look forward to celebrating
the students’ wonderful accomplishments with all of you.
